The Story
The bell-tower legend tells of a mason whose body was hidden in the walls after an accident. Knocks, murmurs and disturbances supposedly followed the resumed building work, until a room was reserved for the ghost. Folklore, not verified death history: Shadowlands carries a correction saying no construction death is documented and that unsafe stairs explained the tower closure.
