The Story
A woman and a maintenance worker are the two figures most often attached to the Capitol’s ghost lore. Haunted Places describes the worker as a man who died while on the job. Older stories sometimes confuse them with victims of a fire at a different capitol building; the current-site tradition should not be merged with that earlier fire.
