During the former Polish Hall’s conversion into a playhouse, workers reportedly heard attic footsteps, found props moved and noticed doors opening or closing. Later lore describes a caretaker, a costumer and a friendly spirit called Oscar watching over actors. A cat that appeared and abruptly vanished is another part of the theater’s story.
