The Story
A young girl said to emerge from a drawing-room mirror is the most distinctive ghost story inside Salt Lake City’s McCune Mansion.
The Hauntings
A former caretaker told KSL a story from restoration work: an electrician claimed to see a young girl in white step from a large mirror, look around, and retreat into the glass. Local Salt Lake historian Rachel Quist also records accounts of music from an alcove near the staircase and a dancing child figure in the ballroom. The mansion’s hauntings are generally presented as gentle, curious disturbances rather than a tale of violence.
The History
The McCune Mansion is an elaborate early-twentieth-century residence that has been restored and adapted as an event venue.

Plan Your Visit
This is not an open walk-in museum. The owner welcomes booked private events, while Preservation Utah handles historical tours by arrangement. Use those official channels; an event listing does not authorize wandering the residence or its grounds.
