The Story

Yorktown’s former hospital has become a member-access paranormal investigation venue, with empty wards and ghost stories shared on booked night visits.

The Hauntings

The building has developed a vivid reputation among investigators. In a 2014 first-person account, paranormal researcher Jason Black described returning three times and experiencing what felt like a push, a touch, and a tug on his shirt. The current operator shares other reports from the wards: dolls that seem to speak on their own, towering shadowy figures, eye-like red lights and footsteps when no one is visible. Such accounts are part of the hospital’s paranormal tradition, distinct from claims about particular patients or historical wrongdoing. The abandoned medical rooms provide a chilling setting for these encounters.

The History

The building previously served as Yorktown Memorial Hospital and remains identifiable as the former medical facility in the town.
