The Story

Student stories describe doors and faucets operating alone, radios starting, cold spots and belongings that disappear before turning up elsewhere. The folklore is often linked to the 1977 dormitory fire, but it does not establish that any victim is responsible for the reported disturbances. The college's own memorial records ten deaths resulting from the fire, correcting the outdated directory's incomplete seven-victim tally. No victim names are needed for the folklore profile.
