The Story
A local legend at the former academy warns against taking objects from the adjoining cemetery. OK Haunted Houses tells of visitors removing a vase, finding their car would not start, and seeing it work again once the vase was returned. Other reports describe apparitions in and around the old buildings. Alias: Wheelock Mission. The source's mass-murder legend is unverified and omitted. Choctaw history should be sourced separately; https://choctawnationculture.com/media/40407/2016.05_wheelock_academy.pdf. Respect graves and operator-controlled access.
