The Story
Known locally as the Witches Tower or Frankenstein’s Castle, the lookout has stories of a ghostly couple appearing when storms gather. Dayton Unknown traced the central tragedy to Peggy Harmeson’s death in a 1967 lightning strike, correcting versions that kill several people. Later tales include her outline on the tower wall.
