The Story
Fairport Harbor Historical Society tells of Sentinel, a gray cat associated with keeper Joseph Babcock’s family. A later resident curator reported seeing a cat dart through rooms and visitors continued the stories. A mummified cat discovered during air-conditioning work in 2001 became part of the museum’s interpretation of the legend.
