The Story
The White Lady is said to search the Lake Ontario shoreline for her missing daughter, accompanied by two pale, wolf-like dogs. Monroe County’s folklore marker records the story as a multigenerational local legend. The stonework popularly called her castle is actually the surviving patio foundation of an old public refreshment building.
