Even the demolition crews had a story: contractor Austin Harris told KFYR that workers heard footsteps behind them while walking through the hospital. Earlier visitors associated the abandoned complex with shadowy figures and children’s sounds. Those stories now belong to a demolished institution rather than an explorable hospital.
