Horace Williams House

The Story

Horace Williams is said to remain in his former Chapel Hill house. Haunted Places attributes to the philosopher a rocking chair moving without a sitter, objects shifting and toilets flushing unexpectedly. The domestic scale of those disturbances defines this story rather than a dramatic apparition or violent historical episode.
