The Story
The castle grounds are entwined with the Peter Dromgoole legend: a young man supposedly loses a duel over Fanny, and a rock retains his blood. Later tellings place his ghost nearby or have Fanny return in search of him. The actual disappearance inspired the tale; the duel and haunting remain folklore.
