Vaile Mansion

The Story

Mrs. Vaile is said to remain a presence in her old mansion, appearing at windows and elsewhere on the grounds. HauntedPlaces.org also records interpretations of an unsettling atmosphere as a remnant of the building's institutional years. The window apparition is the account's most specific recurring image. Historical explanations and identities are folklore unless independently sourced.
