The Story

At Sauk Centre’s Palmer House, a long tradition of reported ghost encounters lives alongside an operating small-town hotel and public ghost tours.

The Hauntings

The Palmer House publishes guest stories and records of past paranormal investigations, including a curious photograph featuring a reflection its photographer could not identify. Its owners say haunting reports predate modern ghost-hunting television and include older recollections from former management. Rather than presenting an ambiguous photograph as conclusive evidence, the hotel invites readers to explore a collection of personal accounts. Those individual experiences are part of the property’s distinct paranormal heritage.

The History

The historic hotel dates to the nineteenth century and is notable in Sauk Centre’s downtown history.
