The Story
Whispers Estate takes its name from the soft voices visitors say they hear in its historic rooms, with particular stories surrounding the children of an early doctor’s family.
The Hauntings
The operator’s haunting history describes a child named Rachael, reportedly burned in a fire in the front parlor, whose footsteps are now heard around the house. A younger child called Elizabeth is associated with a drifting baby-powder fragrance and faint cries. Another account describes a closet doorknob turning and the door swinging open in an upstairs bedroom, sometimes repeatedly. These are stories collected by the site’s owners and investigators, not reconstructed medical records. The nickname Whispers Estate developed after visitors began reporting disembodied voices near their ears.
The History
The house is documented by its operator from 1894. It later belonged to Dr. John and Jessie Gibbons, with parts of the first floor reportedly used for medical practice.

Plan Your Visit
This remains a privately controlled paranormal venue. The current operator advertises a date-booking system and contact form, so visitors should arrange an authorized session rather than appear uninvited or enter neighboring yards.
