The Story
The cemetery's best-known legend concerns Stiffy Green, John Heinl's devoted dog. Haunted Places tells of phantom barking at Heinl's mausoleum and appearances of both owner and dog, sometimes accompanied by pipe smoke. Another tale centers on the unexplained use of a telephone installed in Martin Sheets' tomb. Supernatural claims are attributed accounts. Historical backstories have not been independently corroborated.
