The Story
Old Maui High’s best-known stories concern a girl crying in an unused bathroom and invisible pressure at the throat. American Ghost Walks describes the latter as the “choking ghosts” reputed to punish pupils who skipped class. Other local accounts imagine former students and staff moving through the old campus, extending its school-day life into legend.
