The Story
Ke Ola Magazine reports that elders attending the building’s adult-care program sometimes heard children playing outside when no children were there. A staff member also recalled a strange line of crayons leading toward a shower room. These gentle child-presence accounts sit alongside the more famous “crying babies” legend, whose alleged fatal nursery fire local researchers could not substantiate. Ke Ola challenges fatal-fire backstory through historical records and oral-history work. KRG investigation heard no babies and called findings inconclusive. Current building use/renovation access must be checked.
