The Story
Kahuna Research Group collects reports of footsteps following walkers along the coastal trail, whispering from lava openings and a figure that waved before vanishing into an ironwood tree. Other stories concern lights or fireballs moving above the surf and disappearing toward sea caves. These are attributed experiences, not established explanations of the park’s natural sounds and lights. Extreme coastal hazards; do not approach cliff edges or sea caves. Avoid treating Hawaiian spiritual traditions as a generic curse.
