The Story
In a 2002 Honolulu Advertiser report, a neighboring resident recalled security guards hearing Hawaiian singing and conversation and seeing lights inside the closed hotel. When they investigated, no source appeared. The article also records a local tradition associating the land with supernatural twin sisters who could take lizard form, alongside ordinary business explanations for the hotel’s decline.
