The Story
Savannah ghost tours connect the house with Matilda Sorrel and an enslaved woman called Molly, whose deaths are woven into a disputed story of an affair. HauntedPlaces.org also describes a white-clad woman in a parlor, shadowy figures at windows, and voices apparently coming from empty rooms. Narrative source questions the alleged supporting papers for the Matilda/Molly affair story and identifies ordinary street and tour-group noise as an alternative to recorded voices. Historical accusation remains folklore.
