Dead Presidents Tavern

The Story

Closing-time laughter, objects moving by themselves and sudden cold patches recur in the tavern’s published ghost stories. Delaware Haunted Houses attributes the disturbance to a onetime patron said to have died after slipping and breaking his neck inside. People also describe an oppressive feeling, as though an unseen customer has remained after everyone else leaves.
