The Story
The Delaware Public Archives describes two competing presences at the firehouse. A hostile shadow waits near the engineer’s room, while a protective spirit is said to restrain it. The ghosts rarely appear outright; much of the story concerns the uneasy feeling of their conflict in the hallway, where firefighters supposedly sense both of them.
