The Story
In Haunted Places' account, Hotel St. Nicholas has mischievous spirits associated with its former institutional life. A child called Petey is said to remove objects from guests at the bar. Another figure, described as a gold miner, reportedly appears on the rear stairs or seated in the office. The story connects the child tentatively to the Sisters of Mercy, but does not establish his identity.
