The Story
The Crossett story centers on a moving light, described in HauntedPlaces.org's account as swinging like a lantern along the railroad corridor. Local tellers connect it with a railway death and imagine a headless man searching for what he lost. A distinctive detail is that the glow supposedly disappears near an observer and returns farther along its path. Research/access context: This is attributed railroad folklore, not an established explanation for a light. Railroad property is hazardous and is not made accessible by a ghost-story listing.
