The Story
Oakachoy's haunting belongs to a bridge that no longer stands. Before vandals burned the covered structure in 2001, stories linked an alleged hanging nearby with a shadowy figure and cars behaving strangely on the crossing. Some later tellings move the apparition into the surrounding woods. The ghost story remains attached to the former bridge site. The alleged death and supernatural reports should remain attributed legend unless independently documented.
