Kate Shepard House B&B

The Story

Visitors to Kate Shepard House have described an elderly woman's apparition and the feeling that another person is nearby when a room appears empty. The historic home's association with educator Kate Shepard invites speculation about the figure, although the available account gives no secure identification. Its reputation rests on these modest household experiences, not a dramatic tragedy. The historic home's association with the educator Kate Shepard invites people to attach a familiar name to the presence, but the directory does not establish the apparition's identity.
