The Story
The former Motherlode Lodge in Hatcher Pass attracted accounts of a dark mist, figures appearing behind people in mirrors, unexplained knocking and a young-sounding voice. Other stories describe curtains or doors moving at night. Those reports concern a historic lodge that no longer survives: Alaska.org and contemporary news coverage record its destruction by fire in April 2015. This therefore belongs in a historical haunted-site collection, not a list of hotels that can still be booked.
